Carly + Steve

We recently photographed Carly + Steve’s wedding in Toronto. We had a beautiful day & went downtown for all of their portraits. Carly has a beautiful flair & style all her own as you will see in the photos below.Sarah Cherry helped pull this whole event together at Adath Israel. Tanya + Ryan + Zachary

When I first met Tanya + Ryan in 2007 they were living in New York City & were looking for a photographer to document their wedding here in Toronto at the Four Seasons in Toronto. We hit it off & Tanya + Ryan hired me for their wedding in August of 2008. Leading up to their wedding they wanted some engagement photos done in New York City. They had me come out to New York & we photographed them in Central Park + the Brooklyn Bridge + Times Square & then by their apartment.

On their wedding day we had beautiful weather along with a gorgeous couple to photograph. Fast forward to 2010 & they just had their first baby Zachary and he is so cute! We just photographed him a few weeks ago & I think we have a model in the making!

It’s been a pleasure Tanya + Ryan to allow me into your lives to document your love for each other & now your family. I look forward to many more years of documenting your life as a family!

Jamie + Brett

Finally getting back to posting some images , we have been super busy as we are in full swing wedding season. The other week we were finishing our last photo 101 class & needed some models to photograph, after running into Jamie + Brett at a wedding I gave them a call & they were 100% in. This is the second time that I photographed Jamie + Brett as a couple, the last time was back in February for their engagement photos – on a farm up in Caledon – Click Here. Our group met down at Cherry Beach in Toronto & we did some nice casual photos down on the beach.

Mile High Model Shoot

I was in Denver – the Mile High city last week for a fun filled photography workshop Meeting of the Masters. This workshop was organized by Jay Kilgore of Denver Colorado. We had 5 amazing photographers from the US and Canada who shared their secrets on Glamour and Fashion photography. I was inspired by David Hickey of California and our own Ivan Otis from Toronto. Laura W. Bush at Roy Thomson Hall

I had the honor of meeting & photographing the former First Lady of the United States Laura W. Bush last night at Roy Thomson Hall.Laura Bush was the last lecture of the Unique Lives & Experiences for the 2010 season Laura Bush spoke of her role as First Lady from 2001-2009, the days and weeks after 9/11 and family life. Laura Bush just published her Spoken from the Heart an autobiography of her life from Midland, Texas to the White House. Laura Bush is an advocate with women’s health and is active with campaigns to raise awareness of breast cancer in the U.S. and around the world. Laura Bush was born in Midland, Texas to Harold & Jenna Welch. She has taught in public schools in Texas and also worked as a librarian. She is married to George W. Bush and mother to twin daughters Barbara and Jenna.

Learn Photography 101 This Saturday June 12th

Do you have a DSLR & you still have not taken it out of program mode? Have you looked at the manual & closed that 100+ page book really quick? If you have answered yes to any of the above questions then this class may be for you. We will cover all of the basics of Photo 101 including:

Aperture
Shutter Speeds
ISO
Exposure Modes
Raw vs. JPG
Composition

Our 1 day Saturday program is a start from scratch workshop which takes beginning photographers from the basics of exposure, manipulation of depth of field and shutter speeds to the ultimate goal of creating more dynamic photographs with their digital SLR camera. Over the course of the day we will build a solid technical foundation that will enable us to take more dynamic photographs with your DSLR camera.

Engagement Session with Lisa + Jaron
