South East Asia Photography Tour | Hoi An, Vietnam

We took a 12 hour train ride named the Reunification Express from Hanoi to Danang and a 1 hour taxi ride to Hoi An. In 1975 the re-establishment of the rail link between Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City became a critical project as a symbol of unity for all Vietnamese, hence the name Reunification Express. Hoi An is a tbeautiful laid back area to take a few days to take in the charming town & taste some of the local specialties in their famous restaurants.

About 2 hours away on mini-bike you can see the Ancient Temples of My Son. Thw World Heritage site of my Son was a religious center of the Cham Empire between the 4th and 13th centuries. Trekking along on mini-bike gives you great opportunity of seeing rural life along the way.

South East Asia Photography Tour | Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

Ha Long Bay, Vietnam is located in the northeastern part of Vietnam and is 165 Km from Hanoi. Known to the Vietnamese as the 8th wonder of the World, Ha Long Bay is a Unesco World Heritage Site. The bay features thousands of limestone isles in as many sizes & shapes.

A community of about 1600 people live amongst Ha Long Bay in four fishing villages. They live on floating houses & are sustained by fishing. Tourism also makes up most of their economy in this region as thousands of tourists & locals alike are  attracted to the beautiful landscape of Ha Long Bay.

The best way to experience Ha Long Bay is  on a overnight Cruise which the locals call the boats junk. Dinner is served as the boat is anchored in a lagoon overnight and you are awakened by a beautiful sunrise.
