Toronto Wedding Photography | Vaughan Estates | Caroline and Neil’s Love Affair With Sharks

We recently photographed Caroline and Neil’s wedding in Toronto at Vaughan Estates. They first fell in love with sharks and then each other. Caroline originally from Switzerland became fascinated with sharks while scuba diving in Australia. Neil originally from South Africa became fascinated with sharks as a young boy.   While on vacation in Durban as a young boy Neil became fascinated with sharks,  after a series of shark attacks,  Neil would go down to the beach and watch the officials perform live dissections for whoever was interested. After meeting in school Caroline’s & Neil’s love affair began.

Today Caroline and Neil are devoting their lives to saving Sharks from the deadly hands of Shark Finners who catch the sharks & cut off their fins to sell to the chinese market. Shark fins are a highly sought commodity as the fins provide a gelatinous texture to shark fin soup which is sold anywhere from $50.00-$200.00 per pound. Neil’s website Neil4Sharks is dedicated & devoted to his ongoing study in shark conservation.

Caroline and Neil were amazing to photograph and there wedding had some touches that tied in their relationship. Caroline wore a beautiful necklace made with intricate sea shells and Neil’s tuxedo represented the Miami dolphins colours where they now reside. Elaine Birnbaum from GLP Event Decor & Florals did an amazing job with the decor to tie in all of their details.

Caroline and Neil you are both awesome! CONGRATULATIONS!

Toronto Wedding Photography | Le Parc | Karla and Steven

We recently photographed Karla and Steven’s wedding in Toronto.
I met Karla and Steven a few years back when i photographed Steven’s brother wedding (David and Galit). As i got to know Karla and Steven i found out that Steven is quite the outdoorsmen and Karla is more the city girl type. Who says that opposites attract? Some of the story’s Steven tells me about his adventures reminds me of Les Stroud from Survivorman. Prior to his wedding Steven went to Newfoundland with a buddy deep in the bush for a week of camping and fishing………….I would consider myself a bit of an adventurist also, a few years back i was in Newfoundland and i am not sure if i would trek deep into the woods there.  One night we went out for a bite to eat at The Bier Markt – on The Esplanade after their engagement shoot downtown …….i mentioned i was going to Patagonia for a hiking adventure and the first thing Steven said was can i come :)

Karla and Steven had a huge  wedding at Le Parc in Markham which was beautiful. Judy Stein from Judy Stein & Associates helped pull this large wedding together. George St.Kitts Band kept the dance floor packed all night with their Motown soulful grooves. Ori Watkin did an amazing job with the video. I especially love the their wedding cake …………….check out the photo of the wedding cake with the Bride reeling in the groom…………… very cute!

Karla and Steven you both make an awesome couple and i look forward to keeping in touch with you over the years and who knows maybe we will go camping and fishing in Patagonia one of these years.  CONGRATULATIONS!
